How it works
Auction rules
SaaSBid is a paid placement marketplace. These rules are enforced server-side, never in the browser.
How SaaSBid works
01 · Fund
Add campaign balance securely.
Top up once in test-mode checkout. Every bid draws from your prepaid balance, so no card is charged mid-battle.
02 · Join
Choose an affordable bid.
Pick any whole-dollar amount from $5 up to the current leader and enter wherever that amount ranks.
03 · Take over
Claim #1 for exactly $2 above the leader.
Every takeover is a new full-price purchase. Previous bids are never credited against it.
04 · Defend
Reclaim the crown when dethroned.
Your bid stays on the board. Come back for #1 while tracking verified clicks and effective CPC.
- Paid placement
- Every position on the leaderboard is paid advertising. Nothing on the board is editorial or earned.
- One weekly auction
- There is a single live auction each week. It closes Sunday at 18:00 UTC and a new one opens immediately.
- Taking #1
- The price to take #1 is always exactly the current #1 amount plus $2. You cannot enter a larger amount. Every takeover is a new full-price purchase: previous payments and your existing bid are never credited towards it.
- No bidding against yourself
- The current leader cannot bid again. After being dethroned, the former leader stays on the board at its previous active bid.
- 60-second reign
- Every new leader gets a minimum 60-second reign. Takeovers are disabled and a countdown is shown during that window.
- Final five minutes
- A successful #1 takeover in the final five minutes moves the auction end time to five minutes from that takeover. Lower-board bids never extend the timer.
- Lower-board bids
- Minimum $5, whole US dollars. A new product pays its full selected amount. An existing product pays only the difference between its active bid and its higher new target. A lower-board bid can never exceed the current #1 amount or take #1.
- Ranking and ties
- Rank is decided only by the active paid bid amount. If two products hold the same amount, the one that reached it first stays above.
- Payment confirmation
- Rank changes only after Stripe confirms payment through a verified webhook. Failed, cancelled or expired payments never change the board.
- Weekly rollover
- At close, the valid #1 is archived as that week's winner, bid history is preserved and active bids reset to zero. Your products stay in your dashboard, ready to bid again.
