Privacy-conscious measurement is a product requirement, not an afterthought.

Click measurement
Outbound clicks pass through a server-side redirect. We record a coarse timestamp, a salted one-way fingerprint used only for duplicate detection, and a bot signal. Raw IP addresses are never stored.
What advertisers see
Advertisers see aggregated verified click counts and effective CPC for their own listings. They never see visitor-level records.
Account data
We store the email address used to sign in, your submitted product details and your payment history. Payment card data is handled by the payment provider and never touches SaaSBid.
Retention
Auction records and winner archives are permanent because they are the public history of the marketplace. Click fingerprints are rotated on a short cycle.
Audience measurement
We count visitors with an anonymous first-party session identifier stored in your browser. It is a random value containing nothing about you, it is never shared, and it is used only to count unique sessions, keep the “online now” figure accurate and avoid counting the same session twice. A short presence heartbeat is sent while a page is open; records older than 60 seconds no longer count as online. No IP addresses, device fingerprints or cross-site identifiers are stored, and the public statistics on /stats are aggregate totals only.
Payments
Stripe processes all card payments. SaaSBid stores only the payment reference, amount and status returned by Stripe — never card details.
Data retention
Click records are kept for 12 months in aggregate form, then deleted. Payment and bid records are retained for seven years for accounting purposes.
